i am a biker.. ever was, ever will.. i have been riding/ cycling ever since i was 7?? and i didnt look back ever since.. initially its just simple leisure rides around the neighborhood but now its progressed to something more active and physical, involve bikes with 120mm fork travel and a dirt path.. i wont say mountain biking is my hobby but more of a passion...and i hope the activity really takes off in singapore and thus lead to more trails for people like me to use!!!
though i realize some bikers can be quite temperamental in some ways...either whoever in front is going too slow, block the way or just too uptight to even give you a weak smile (i stated weak smile, not smile because knowing how exhausting cycling can be, i totally understand it gets hard to not focus on the thing at hand) but ya, i think some bikers should try to minimize the antics of being unfriendly.. CHILLLL
im not saying all but some, and especially so those who rides machines worth more than 1K.. im not generalizing but so far this is what i see, the more expensive your ride is, the more the rider seem unfriendly.. i have seen it all the time! i think whatever your ride is, let it be 100 bucks from Giant or a 10K carbon composite imported from France, bikers are still bikers.. the essence of being bikers is simple, freedom of movement (well that's in my opinion anyway) and coolest thing is, we dont generate any carbon footprint, less the CO2 we breathe out and those bikes with motors.
i think when riders see other riders who have a less expensive bike with him/her, they be looked down upon.. which is unfair cos as much as its passion/hobby/life etc its also boils down to one's ability to afford it.. doesnt mean having a better ride makes you a better rider anyway.. its like typical, drive a BMW and ppl wah and drive a toyota and ppl go eew.. which is hardly the case for motorist i believe.. same thing should apply for bikers! we are a bigger community than some people can actually imagine and we're all riding biycles.. not motorbikes, not buggies, not skateboards..
so please, lets all be more friendly! smile abit more and unite!! to chill and relax riding our ride =)

went to siow chang today.. had my dad's reel fixed.. wont be cheap.. hopefully it doesnt exceed 40 SGD! saw the kind of stuff they were selling.. not bad, very big shop and lots of varieties.. tempted to splurge on some spoons and cheap lures.. haha but haiya, must keep to my budget.. then went beach road.. also same.. apparently i have no idea why some lures are like 20-30 bucks each!
it was so hard finding something below 6 bucks but ya.. so ended up didnt buy any lures.. so i saved some cash.. maybe will get them next time around, hehehe.. need spoon, surface action lures..maybe a spinner bait and those soft types also.. depending on the kind of budget i have..
i was able to really try luring a few days back as i was trying to catch this garfish by the wave breakers.. quite fun and tiring.. too bad the garfish got away! but its ok!revenge will be mine!! muahahaha

a man once sang
"One by one
Only the good die young
They’re only flying too close to the sun
And life goes on -
Without you..."
i know how it feels.. that feeling that life must go no matter what.. time and time again i guess.. everybody will have that moment, like a buddy of mine.. hahaha ok maybe the song is abit tooo deep but ya, the point is still similar =) oh well, its the holidays now.. got to live it man. even the world's economy that is so big and complicated has a downtime, let alone our own lives..something so small and meager..definitely should have its own downtime too :)
