woohooo!! guess whose back bebeh! its me!!!!!!! the jungle kenyan boy *zaini keeps calling me the kenyan cos i looked like one?? =P* anyway moving on, yeah i just came back from my 16 days holiday in brunei and man it was an experience.. well firstly, singaporean jungle will never feel the same ever again cos hahaha it is nothing compared to brunei's jungle.. secondly being the guy carrying the signal set isnt taht easy..thirdly, it sooooo remind me of the good ol kampong days.. forthly, i never took an aeroplane before! hahaha i believe its the 757 or something.. kinda cool!
so yeah, there i was, doing basically jungle warfare and unguided jungle navigation.. lol kinda deep stuff for someone who was just a mere civilian about 8 mths ago =D i learnt alot, i discovered alot of stuff and i guess it was kinda like a defining moment for me?? =)
ok people would be asking, what did i do in brunei.. well its a 16 days package called Exercise Lancer.. consisting of a 1 day Platoon Battle Course in the Betayan area, 4 days 3 night unguided jungle navigation in the temburong and belitung area called Exercise Chindit 1 and of course the 3 days 2 night day deliberate mission attack called Exercise Chindit 2
i wont really bore you guys with the details cos hahaha some people are just sick of army talk.. but man, all of these stuff i just undergo.. it wasnt easy man, really.. sandfly bites, physical fatigue, wet boots and having not enough food and water is just some of the things i had to go through.. LOL but i can safely say, i did had fun ah.. why? i also dont know, it was kinda an eye opener for me.. a good experience.. and man
it made me miss singapore and home even more.. my family, my friends, my stuff!*guitar, bicycle, pc etc etc* there were times i was climbing up and down spurs and ridgelines and high high knolls and hills and the things that pushed me on is home..as some of my friends said, every single step we/I took, i was a step closer to home! speaking of high high knolls and hills.. i climbed bukit timah hill a few times before and its like 164m high ah and took me like an hour or 2 the most to reach the top and back down.. the Banjaran Biang which i climbed was 462m high and it took me a full 8 hours to go up and go down.. hahahaha =) oh yeah it didnt have any nice paved walkway or road for you to go up ah.. just treks and trails..
now i know why most people called it Mt Biang even though its just Bukit Biang, not even close to a mountain =P haiya its not so bad lah, really.. kinda a cool place to go up to, literally cos the air up there is soooo aircondition like =)oh yeah, after all the hard training, had like a day of R&R and man, i tell you, unless you're the sort who is the homely homely sit at home rot kind of person, you wont wanna stay in brunei cos the life there is really stagnant..
i mean there isnt much to do or what!! serious! aaaaaaaah! it nearly drive me insane when i visited some of the shopping malls and im like zzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZ hahahaha.
*will update this further once i recollect all of my thoughts!

ah the time has come.. 16 days brunei jungle. a journey of self discovery.. i seriously need to pen all of that down ah.. every day, days in the jungle.. just pen it down so that i wont forget! lol assuming i got space to bring writting material! haha
ok as for now, im gonna leave it as of this.. but rest assure, i will blog about the entire trip once im back!!!

lol, went for my hair cut.. yes what is there to cut?? nothing!!! though its recommended to make your hair even shorter for brunei.. why? heat and stuff and then by the time you come back from it, it be longer again! whoooooo as if it can get any longer ah. but nvm, at least the barber my dad asked me to go to was damn cool
talked about BOB MARLEY AND REGGAE.. hahaha the barber himself has dreadlocks and the whole shop has like bob marley, reggae or weed written all over it =) hahaha i thought i just walked right into jamaica or something.. "ya man" haha haha im soooo gonna cut my hair there from now!!

lol.. i guess my friend was right?? =D ok lah i admit, she likes me too.. hahaha =P i guess i was right and the feeling was mutual.. oh well. what do i do now? i dont know.. as much as i wanna say things just got simpler, it still kinda complex i guess.. oh yeah i checked out international overseas call rating.. lol 20 mins will cost me like 27.80 Sing Dollars!!!!! ouch man
no wonder people are like skype this, skype that! haha never used the software before.. maybe soon i will ;) hehehe speaking of which, i really need to get a webcam.. something affordable and decent.. then maybe i can be like syahmi, record stuff and post it on youtube.. lol ok lah, i cant play the piano and my guitar aint that good yet.. cant exactly do a bass solo either..
but i guess the main purpose is that, if so people video conversation with me on msn.. it be more fair for them too... hahaha at least they can see my face too eh. =P though i have this habit of wearing the bare minimum at night when im on the pc.. hahaha so that has to be slightly modified.. i have yet to actually use my blanket when i sleep at home.. goes to show how hot my room can be , especially in the morning where the sun rays gets in and turn my room into an oven!!!

*sits down and think.. did i ever come to a moment i wanted someone* i guess im just lying to myself and man am i a great liar.. i cant really think of any ah.. i mean of course i do came to a point where i like a certain someone but as far as i can recall, i dont exactly work on that.. hahaha
i just tell myself, ok lets move on.. why? maybe cos just as it happen, something else happen to put a 12 ft wall across me and block my way? figuratively speaking of course.. as much as i can be a fighter who doesnt quit easily and just get as plain stubborn as i can get, i can also be someone who get going with whatever i was doing just like that hoping and taking my chance with just waiting till the time is right..
maybe its a wrong approach?? hahaha tackle the thing head on? easier said then done.. there are just so many factors to consider, and so many choices to choose! besides things like this, cant be forced.. you dont throw the egg into the basket, you place it in gently.
ah! im 21 yrs and 4 mths plus yrs old.. plenty of time? perhaps.. i dont know =)
