i have been thinking.. does anyone know how a bike helmet vent works? ok motorbike helmet nowdays have what we called, air vents, where air flow into some gap or hole and creates this cooling effect across the helmet so that the user dont exactly have his/her head burn while riding under a hot sun.. it can get really steamy inside a helmet, especially for someone like me with thick hairs..
so mine is those cheap ones.. its basically the helmet shell and it has some ducts to guide air to flow into it and allegely it helps to cool your helmet.. but think about it, cos these ducts are merely simple additional shells on your helmet.. meaning to say, your helmet, and they just stick another shell onto it where in between shell no 2 and 1, air can flow through.. essentially, without it, air can still flow and will flow through your helmet shell.. wont that cool your helmet too?
or is there some design where air is suppose to travel through the inner helmet, the inner foam or what, and yeah, create some wind effect INSIDE THE HELMET, rather then just outside the helmet?? but if you do that, if the guys really travel damn fast, like 100km/h and more, its gonna be so super loud! hmmmmmmmm
and the more expensive helmets, their air vents are flushed into the shell, which made more sense? dont it? but then it brings up the noise issue altogether.. hmmmm anyone can enlightend me? of course if i do get really serious of my bike thingy, i wont stick to this M fizz helmet.. this be my pillion helmet.. i would get a full face man! maybe by Shoei or Bell.. =)
or perhaps more ex helmets, the air flow is nearer to the inside and thus even cooler?? hahaha cheaper helmet have their air flow concentrated at the top and that's bout it??
