today, SMRT had to disrupt train service from Tanah Merah to Pasir Ris..why? cos a maintenance train broke down between Simei and Tampines...SMRT did the necessary damage control action and activated the shuttle service.. still services were slow.. allegely on the news, it took 45 mins to travel from pasir ris to tanah merah..
i managed to saw a few comments of public users being interviewed...its kinda sad that singaporeans are just soo singaporeans to complain..well ok, my trip to school wasnt affected by that so i wont exactly know how it was like.. and i guess the whole damage control could have been better handled instead of keeping public users in the dark..
but think about it for just a sec..57000 users were affected...i think to actually rectify a problem that affected 57000 people isnt easy man.. so kudos to SMRT anyway.. however just think about it again for a sec..
how many people were actually sooo depended on the train itself and that how we, us, take it for granted day in day out, till when? till something happen and it breaks down and people start complaining.. hahahaha, humans.. no one ever commented on how smooth the train rides were like every other time it didnt cock up.. maybe there were but i assume it to be negligible.. i mean, i confess, sometimes i go like, "ah damn no seats!!" and i didnt go "yay, train is here, can reach my destination for sure"
yeah get the drift? which brings me to the next thing.. i guess people mostly, generally were never appreciated of what they have till its taken away from them... let it be on the dot train services, the coffee on the table or the families at home.. so yeah, pls, take some time to appreciate it..
i managed to realize part of this when i was in the army.. families and friends, very important.. so yup. =) have a nice day.
